DANCE SECONDS MARKETPLACE POLICY

Shipping, Delays & Returns

Handling commitments, tracking, delays, cancellations, and return expectations.

Version 2026-08-08.2Effective August 8, 2026Real account required

Seller handling time

Every listing must state a handling time between one and 30 days. Sellers must have a reasonable basis for that promise. If no shipping time is stated, federal rules generally require shipment within 30 days.

Unexpected delay

If a seller cannot ship within the promised time, the buyer must be told about the delay and given the legally required choice to accept the revised date or cancel for a prompt refund when payment has been processed. A reservation may be cancelled through the order center when Dance Seconds has not processed a payment.

Verified payment, tracking, and packaging

Sellers must not ship until the order center shows Paid — Ready to ship. Tracked shipping with a carrier acceptance scan is required. Sellers should photograph the costume immediately before packing, the protective packaging, and the sealed package, and should protect delicate trims, tutus, headpieces, and structured pieces. The shipping address is shown only to the seller responsible for that order and support personnel who need it.

Returns

There is no general return for fit or change of mind when a used costume was accurately described. A return may be authorized through Buyer Protection for a qualifying issue. Buyers must not wear, wash, alter, repair, perform in, resell, or ship the item while review is open.

An approved return must use the provided tracked method and include the same costume, tags, accessories, and components in the condition received. Returns go directly to the seller's verified return address, not to the Dance Seconds business mailing address. A seller must report a materially different, incomplete, worn, altered, or newly damaged return with evidence within 48 hours of delivery.

Return shipping costs

When Dance Seconds confirms that the seller materially misrepresented the costume or sent an undisclosed damaged, unsafe, counterfeit, or incomplete item, the seller is normally responsible for the approved return cost. If a seller voluntarily accepts a fit or change-of-mind return, the buyer normally pays return shipping and original shipping or service fees remain nonrefundable to the extent allowed by law. The order decision states the exact allocation.

Taxes and international shipping

Orders are currently limited to U.S. addresses. The reservation step does not collect sales tax. Before Dance Seconds processes a card payment, checkout must calculate destination-based sales tax where required. International shipping is not currently supported.
