Marketplace Terms of Use

1. Accounts, listings, and orders

Dance Seconds uses real user accounts for marketplace activity. Buyers and sellers may create accounts, submit or manage listings, place order reservations, and use the order center and support tools.

A paid transaction begins only when checkout confirms payment and the seller's order center shows Paid — Ready to ship. The current no-payment reservation creates an order record but does not authorize shipment, activate Order Protection or Seller Protection, collect sales tax, or create a seller payout.

2. Who may use the marketplace

Accounts and transactions are for people age 18 or older. A parent, legal guardian, or authorized studio representative must control any purchase or sale involving a minor dancer. Users must provide accurate information and protect access to their account.

3. Marketplace role

Dance Seconds provides the listing, moderation, reservation, order, and support tools. Sellers—not Dance Seconds—own and describe the used costumes they list. Buyers and sellers are responsible for their conduct, their legal obligations, and the accuracy of information they provide.

4. Listings and prohibited conduct

Listings must use actual-item photos, provide the exact tagged size and brand name when known, and disclose condition, alterations, defects, included pieces, cleaning status, shipping charges, and handling time. Counterfeit, stolen, recalled, unsafe, misleading, or unlawfully offered products are prohibited.

• No off-platform payment requests or fee avoidance.
• No harassment, fraud, manipulation of reviews, or misuse of another person’s information.
• No content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
• Dance Seconds may review, reject, hide, suspend, or preserve records when needed for safety, compliance, or dispute handling.

5. Orders, fees, taxes, and payouts

Before a paid order is confirmed, checkout must show the final item price, shipping, Dance Seconds service fee, applicable tax, and complete total. Sellers may not add undisclosed charges or request off-platform payment.

For an eligible paid order, Dance Seconds normally authorizes seller payout after carrier-confirmed delivery and the three-calendar-day inspection window. Bank processing can take additional business days. Payouts may be held for identity checks, delivery confirmation, timely protection claims, refunds, chargebacks, legal obligations, negative balances, or payment-provider rules. Payment collection and seller payouts are not currently processed through the no-payment reservation step.

6. Changes and account action

Material policy changes will be dated and presented for renewed acceptance when appropriate. Dance Seconds may limit or suspend an account or listing for safety, policy, legal, or operational reasons. Users may submit an appeal or data request through Support.
